- conducts preliminary needs analyses to determine initial client translation requirements
- carefully secures and efficiently manages all client source documents
- offers creative solutions to address specific client needs
- selects the team of translators, editors and proofreaders based on their expertise with the language and subject matter involved
- identifies any specific terminology or localization requirements and disperses the information to all persons involve to assure conformity
- manages terminology and phraseology in order to standardize and ensure maximum consistency with respect to repetitive words, phrases and sentences
- builds and maintains client-specific terminology databases
- communicates with the client on ad hoc basis as questions arise regarding the translation project
- monitors and tracks translation, editing and proofreading phases in order to keep the client apprised of the status of their translation project
- ensures timely completion and delivery of the translation to client
